Admission Requirements:
The minimum entry requirement for admission into the Department of Accounting is GCE O/L, SSCE/NECO or any other relevant and acceptable equivalent Credit level pass in five (5) subjects including English Language, Economics, Mathematics, and any two (2) other commercial or social science subjects obtained at not more than two (2) sittings prior to August of the year for which admission is being sought. Literature-in-English cannot be substituted for English Language but Further Mathematics may be substituted for Mathematics.

Graduation Requirements:
To graduate, a student must successfully complete a minimum of 165 credits distributed approximately over the four (4) year period, plus the satisfactory completion of a minimum of 6 weeks of Industrial Training. This position is to satisfy both academic and professional requirements. All students are expected to meet the prescribed graduation requirements for their respective programmes before they can graduate. The required courses they are to take and pass before graduating are under the following categories:
